The Humane Praxis Philosophy
Humane Praxis’ Core System Health Domains
1. Psychological Safety of All Workers
- Can workers speak honestly without retaliation?
- Are mistakes treated as information to funnel support, and never a moral failure?
2. Expectation Clarity & Flexibility
- Are expectations explicit, written, and negotiable?
- Is performance measured by outcomes and collaboration or by conformity?
3. Communication Accessibility
- Are multiple communication modes supported and allowed?
- Are workplace norms explicit or are they assumed / implied without explanation?
4. Sensory & Energy Sustainability
- Are environments regulating workers or limited / reducing their capacity?
- Is burnout normalized and prevented or pathologized and individually blamed?
5. Power & Repair
- Are conflicts expected and addressed with compassion and collaborative reasoning?
- Is repair, when misunderstandings and mistakes happen, expected and initiated from those with power? Is repair jointly-defined?
6. Accommodation Culture
- Are accommodations reactive, punitive, or proactive?
- Is access framed as “special” or is it structurally planned for and flexible as needs arise?
7. Meaning, Autonomy, & Dignity
- Do people have agency in how they work?
- Is dignity preserved and centralized for all employees, even during performance concerns and discussions?
